Nordthailand Wat Phra That Haripunchai liegt zwischender Hauptstraße von Lamphun und dem Kwang Fluß. Das Klosterwurde im Jahre 1044 vor Christus über den Ruinen eines noch älterenMon Palastes errichtet. Im dunkelroter Turm befindet sich ein riesiger Bronzegong. Er wird oft als der größte Bronzegong der Welt bezeichnet. Der Wat Chedi Luang ist eine buddhistische Tempelanlage in der Provinz Chiang Mai.
